No. Drivers access Type 6 through their phone's web browser — no download, no app store, no friction. Just send them a link and they're in.
Are the digital Waste Transfer Notes legally compliant? +
Yes. Digital WTNs are legal under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 provided they contain all required information. Type 6 captures everything needed including EWC codes, carrier registration, signatures from both parties, and timestamps. All records are stored for the legally required 2 years.
What happens when DEFRA makes digital tracking mandatory in 2027? +
Type 6 will integrate directly with the DEFRA Digital Waste Tracking Service API ahead of the October 2027 mandate. Growth and Pro customers get this automatically. You won't need to do anything.
Can I change my plan? +
